This book is about embracing the beauty of your naturally textured hair. Curly hair is beautiful, twisted hair is amazing , and coils that grow upward toward the sun are inspiring. Encouraging children to love and accept their hair early on in life is a way to guide them toward the practice of self love, self acceptance and self-care.

There is a revolution of natural hair acceptance that is spreading across the landscape of the hair world. This movement is often directed toward girls.  We want our boys and all children with curls and coils to know that it is okay to love their hair too.

 

If they have locs, then encourage them to love their locs.  If they are rocking an Afro, then encourage them to love their Afro. If you want to expirenment with different styles and show the world all of the creative things that you can do with your hair, then do it.
